    Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">There is an international waterway along the Lancang-Mekong river connecting China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia. The distance from Jinghong to the Golden triangle is only 350km by water, and it only takes one day and a half from Jinghong of China to Chiang Saen of Thailand.  

    There is no regular ship available. But there are cargo ships running to and from these countries on daily basis and they may offer a lift to some tourists who hold a visa issued by a third country. Tourists who need such a service can contact local travel agencies.
